friday,february 20th 2009...my dog Bunny was struck by a car.I was at school when it happened.My parents said when they went to the vet and saw her,it was horrible.They said that her back or spleen was broken,that her back legs were broken,that she didn't have the strength to lift her paw or sit up or even walk.They told me she had blood coming from her eyes and nose,and that the vet wanted 3,000 dollars to save her,and that we didn't have the money.I got in the car an they said they were sorry,but that she was in so much pain,and that they sent her to heaven.I cry as i type this,but I wrote this poem for her:

What a dog is 2/20/09

A dog is more than a pet,
A dog is a piece of your heart,
with each day it grows,
until it is your heart,

Bunny is,was,and always will be,
my heart.

I remember her golden fur,
soft ears,
velvet paws,
and short,adorable tail.

I will always think of her,
when she barked,
when she liked my tears away,
when she jumped over the fence...

When she jumped,
she always came home safe,
I wouldn't beat her,
I'd thank god she was alright,

This time she didn't come back,
This time I can't pet her,
This time I can't wait for her,
This time she didn't come back,
and she never will...

Crying won't bring her home,
Saying I'm sorry won't bring her home,
Calling her name won't bring her home,
Even whistling won't bring her home,
and nothing ever will...

Although she's gone,
my love for her still grows.

Nothing can take away that love,
because when you have a dog,
You don't have a pet,
you have a friend for life

No matter what happens,
Nothing can take away that love...


In loving memory of Bunny,
The greatest friend I could ever have,
and may god rest her soul.I know she's
in a better place now...
