Soooo... COVID. Aha, that doesn't really explain much, does it? I was 23 in the last post I made and I am now 25. Just like that, COVID has stolen what's left of my early 20's. At 23, I decided to pursue my postgraduate studies but it got halted due to COVID. It's been almost 2 years since it has been halted. Why so long? Because my country's government is totally and absolutely incompetent (Ehem ehem, talking to you, Malaysian ministers).

I broke it off with J, mostly because he was demanding more of me than I could ever give. He was constantly needing my attention which may sound sweet at first, but it gets irritating real fast when I literally can't give him any attention when I'm busy, yet he still demands for it. Truth be told, I do not regret the breakup. Do I miss him? Yeah, sometimes. Do I want to go back to being in a relationship with him? Absolutely not.

Okay, this is getting a bit too personal. Anyways, I am only online once in a blue moon.

Until next time!

I've been on Marapets for 10+ years, I think. I revisit this website occasionally when I'm bored out of my mind and I have nothing else to do (Which is not often). My last post was in 2009. 10 years have passed since then and I'm now a Forensic Science graduate. I plan on doing my Postgraduate in Genetics, but let's see where life takes me. I have been diagnosed with anxiety in March (I think) after a severe panic attack and I'm now on medication for it. I try my hardest to not depend on them too much as I need to heal myself on the inside, especially my extremely paranoid mind. I've loved and I've been broken and I've hurt others, but I guess that's part and parcel of life. I'm currently dating again with a guy I met from college, which we will call him J, and everything is going smoothly. So much has changed since 2009. Am I proud of the achievements I have? Most definitely. Would I change any of the mistakes I've made in the past 10 years? ... Maybe a couple.

Till next time.

A Father's Love
~~~~~
"Crissy, I'm going with Tommy, don't forget to hand the candy to the children. Oh, and Chrissy, be nice."
"Ok, Mom!" yelled Christina. " I got it. Take the dork trick or treating Mom, I got this."
Christina was alone, finally her mom thought she was responsible. Ever since her dad died in a car accident last July, Christina's mom has been nervous about everything.
"Daddy, I wish you were here so you and I could hand candy to the little freaks together." sighed Chrissy.
She and her father were really close, they knew everything about each other. They were so, so close. She remembers that the night that he died, how she wanted to go with him. She had to get psychoanalyzed because she had broken all the windows in her large, 2 story house. She still, wishes she could be with him.
The night went on, and children came and went. Finally, no more children were near. Chrissy sat down to enjoy the last bit of candy, when she heard a knock on the door. She went and opened it, thinking it might be her mom or another little kid. She opened to nothing more than a breeze.
"Stupid kids" she thought as she turned around she heard a frightening voice saying, "Hi chrissy, I miss you."
Chrissy turned around to see the rotted ghost of a person. As she was about to scream, the ghost took her and put his hand over her mouth.
"Hush now baby. Daddy's here. Daddy will take care of everything."
Chrissy had a harsh realization. This was her father. As Chrissy started to feel comfortable in her father's arms once again, she heard him say, "Now I'm here to take you with me like you wanted. I will take you with me."
Chrissy began to struggle, but to no avail. She was discovered by her mother, headless. The head was in her brother's room, mouth wide open in horror. On the carpet, was a blood spatter writing, TOMMY, I WILL COME TO GET YOU TOO. DON'T BE AFRAID, I'LL STOP YOUR MISERY.
SEE YOU SOON.
There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently,
anxious in their seats
One by one the teacher called a student from the class. To introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name,
every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
for a man who wasn't there.
"Where's her daddy at?"
she heard a boy call out.
"She probably doesn't have one,"
another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back,
she heard a daddy say,
"Looks like another deadbeat dad,
too busy to waste his day."
The words did not offend her,
as she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
came words incredibly unique.
"My Daddy couldn't be here,
because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
and how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories
he taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
and taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes,
and ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
I'm not standing here alone.
"Cause my daddy's always with me,
even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
he'll forever be in my heart"
With that, her little hand reached up,
and lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
beneath her favorite dress.
And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads,
her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
who was wise beyond her years.
For she stood up for the love
of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down,
staring straight into the crowd.
She finis
