I can't wait! My best friend, Alice, has been at Poland for six months and she's going to be home this weekend!
'Ring Ring'
Oh! The phone is ringing. I'm sure my Mum will get it.
'Ring Ri-'
My mum picked up the phone and starting talking, "Hello? Oh hello Alice, how nice to hear your voice. Yes. Catori is here, I'll go get her now, hold on a minute."
My mum came into the kitchen and said to me, "Catori. It's Alice on the phone."
Alice? Why is she home so early?
I took the phone off the mum; actually I sort of snatched it off her.
"Hello? Alice? Heya! Why are you home so early?" I asked her a million questions while I was walking up the stairs to my room. She explained to me about why she was home now. It was because her Auntie was getting married next week and that she needed to be home to prepare for the wedding.
"Well, sorry I've got to go now but remember to come round to my house tomorrow to say hi to me," Alice reminded.
"Yes yes! I won't forget! Bye!" I was so excited to see her tomorrow!

It was dark outside and I was making my home from Alice's house. I came to the alleyway and carried on walking, when suddenly I heard a noise behind me. I froze with my foot up in the middle of the air. I was too frightened to turn around to see what it was.
'Crack'
I heard it again, but the noise was closer this time. I was so scared I started to run, but I couldn't see where I was going as it was so dark now.
'Crack'
I could still hear it even though it was further away from me now. Finally I plucked up the courage to turn around. Nothing was there!
"Meow"
"Huh?" I thought to myself.
"Meow"
I looked down and two big, bright eyes, one yellow and one blue, were staring at me.
"Oh." I had noticed it was a cat on top of a pile of leaves.
"Stupid cat." I said.
"Excuse me, I am not a cat,"
It talked! The cat talked!
"AHHH!" I screamed.
"AHHHH! WHAT!! WHAT IS IT?!?! WHERE?!?!" He shouted.
"You," I said, trying to point out that he was screaming at himself.
"Oh, me? Hello."
"Is this r-real?" I asked the 'cat'.
"Umm, what? What's real?" The cat replied in confusion.
"Y-you. Talking t-to me?" I asked, now in confusion as well.
"Eh, yeah." He answered.
"Oh right, o-okay," I was trying to forget that I was speaking to a cat, "what did you mean by 'I'm not a cat'?"
Just then, he sighed and walked to the light source coming from the street light closest to us.
"This" he said.
I looked back up at him when I heard his voice again. I then stared at this amazing creature that had caught my eye. He was like a ferret, with black fur and angel wings attached to his back.
"Wow" Was the only word I could make out.
"What?" he said.
"You," I replied to the creature.
"Oh, me? Hello."
"Don't you start that again?"
"Well don't call me 'you' anymore then,"
"Fine then, deal. What's the name then? Lucky? KitKat? or Poochy? I like the third one the best,"
I discovered it was very fun teasing this creature thing.
"Eh-hem," he coughed, "the name's Rei,"
"Hmmmm...Rei? Rei. Rei. Rei. Yeah, it's okay,"
"What do you mean it's OKAY?"
"Never mind. Hey, you don't know my name."
"Do I want to?" Rei asked rudely.
"Yes, it's Ca-"
"Catori. I know what your name is, idiot." he said, once again, rudely.
"H-How do you know my name?" I asked.
"Just."
Ugh, this ferret thing is really starting to bug me. It meows, it has a strange name and it knows what I'm called.
"Why do you meow if you're a ferret with wings?" I asked finally.
"Oh, you noticed," he said quietly.
"Uh, yeah."
"Okay. I meow, NOT BECAUSE I'M A CAT, but because our great ancestors were related to cats. Yeah, you could say I look like a ferret and the wings...well I can fly."
"Well what else would you use wings for? Eating? Of course you fly! Can I see?" I said excitingly.
"Don't get your hopes up because the answer is no." Rei quickly replied.
"Why not? I thought you said you could fly!"
"Yes, but only when I really need to."
"I don't get it."
"I guessed."
I looked at my watch then back up at Rei.
"Okay, Rei, I have to go. My mum is probably wondering where I am. Goodnight."
As I walked away, I noticed that I had just seen the strangest thing in my life and I was saying 'goodnight' to it. I looked back once more to see those yellow and blue eyes staring at me.
"Stupid ferret" I said under my breath very quietly so he couldn't hear me.
"I HEARD THAT! Idiot..." Rei shouted back.

"Catori! Where have you been? I've been so worried in case something happened to you!" my mum said as soon as I came into my house.
So I told her the whole thing that had happened to me that evening. She didn't believe me about Rei. She thought I was sick and that I didn't know what I was talking about, so she sent me straight to bed.
All night I thought about the strange creature and when I finally fell asleep, I had dreams about it too.
I woke up in the morning to feel something heavy at the bottom of my bed. I thought it might have been the pile of my old clothes from yesterday and started to try to kick it off the edge. I was hoping that it would fall off because I wanted more sleep, but instead the pile started to moan quietly. I looked at the bottom of my bed and the same two eyes were staring at me again, with angel wings behind them and a fluffy, black tail slowing swishing side to side.
"Impossible," I thought to myself, "it's him."
"Thanks. You woke me." he said, still staring at me.
"You???re welcome," I whispered back.
He moaned again.
"Hey Rei?"
"What?"
"Why are you on my bed and how do you know where I live?" I asked.
"Number 1: Your bed is comfortable. I tried the top of the cupboard and now I have back pains.
Number 2: I know where you live, of course." Rei replied.
"Stop following me," I demanded.
"No."
"Give it up, Rei. I don't have any catnip here for you!" I started to get very frustrated with him now.
"I'm not a cat and I don't like catnip."
"Then what are you here for then?"
