I try to ignore you

no matter how much I try to concentrate
on my math
my mind goes back toyou
I could stand it, at first,
you hitting me with your pencil
until my arm was red and sore
I ask to get my seat changed
but my wish is not granted
I try to tough it outI then have you moving your pen
I can see it bobbing up and down
like a buoy
You pester me and I give in
you write things on my paper
and I cross them out
You talk about me
as though I am invisible
but i'm right there and I hear
I've had enough and I take a stand
You make a joke out of it
I tremble, my face reddens
And suddenly, class is dismissed
I stay behind and let it out
Sobbing, begging, upset and ashamed
Ashamed of what I do not know
Someone should have known
