This animal was found in a dumpster not far from Vortex Park. Its fur was matted and overgrown, eyes dull, ears droopy. It was visibly quite a few years old, given the state of its frail body. This pet was obviously abandoned. Seeing as the species is a rare one. its previous owner probably spent quite some money on it.

As I approached it, it seemed too exhausted to react. It tore me up - who would leave such a creature, known for its loving personality, in a place like this? I started asking myself if maybe it had been its own fault - maybe it was agressive...
I approached it anyway. Once he understood I was there to help it, the eyes brightened in the slightest way. When I was certain there was no danger coming from the little bundle of dirt and hair, I took it home, where I cleaned it up and treated it with tender love and care. Its coat turned a glossy golden colour, and on the really sunny days I would have sworn the sun reflected in it.

Over time, Neblig (which became the animal's name) opened up tremendously and proved that his trusting temperament was the best gift I could have wished for. One day, as I was looking for activities to entertain him, I brought him to a large wheat field, where he could run freely. I had never seen him so excited - something was making Neblig go completely bonkers. I realized he was quick on his feet -
wait..
no. blindingly fast.
It then clicked in my mind : Ninos are racing pets! Neblig is a retired racer and had been given up because old athletes win fewer races and profit their masters less than youngsters. My heart broke and I suddenly felt the urge to thank everything and everyone that led me to finding this poor animal. I was going to spoil this Nino like no one ever would.
