Ashigumo is both the name of the tribe of antropomorphic otter creatures (possibly meant to be another version of Kamaitachi 鎌鼬 - "Sickle Weasel", a Japanese yōkai) and the "name" of the sole member of said tribe ever directly encountered in the game. Ashigumo's real name is never mentioned despite him being the tritagonist of the story.
