Chili was born in April of 2018, and his story with us started in one of the most unexpected ways. He was found inside the motor of a college bus and was brought into my veterinary clinic when I was just beginning my career in the veterinary field.
At the time, I was about two years into my relationship, and we had just gotten our very first apartment. Somehow, everything lined up perfectly — and Chili came into our lives at exactly the right time.
His travels inside that bus left him with some mild bruising and a concussion, but thankfully, he recovered. What he left us with was something far more important: an incredibly special cat who would become a huge part of our family.
Chili was raised by Buddy, Bentley, and Sadie, and I truly believe growing up with them helped shape the goofy, unique little character he is today. He may technically be a cat, but someone clearly forgot to tell him that because this boy absolutely thinks he's a dog. 😂🐾
He has so much personality and has brought us countless laughs, memories, and love over the years. Watching him grow up alongside Buddy, Bentley, and Sadie has been such a special part of our lives.
I will always be grateful that a scared little cat found his way into my clinic — and ultimately found his way into our hearts and our home.
Sometimes the best things in life are the ones you never planned for. ❤️
Chili is one of those things. He is truly one of a kind, and I wouldn't trade my goofy little dog-cat for anything.
