NEW GAME
Back in April 2014, a computer virus infected the city of Ziranek as part of our Ziranek Plot. It quickly spread around Marada, even corrupting the Snowman. Ziranek was upgraded and the virus was traced back to a little toddler Huthiq called Trojan. He was sent back to Enpiah and is never allowed to leave. Trojan needs your help leaving Enpiah! You can play our new Guess the Flag game once every 12 hours. Try and guess the flag of the country that Trojan is trying to visit. If you guess correctly, he will pay you an MP reward. If you are really lucky, he may even reward you with a Shirt of that country for you to wear. There are currently 53 World Clothing shirts available to win, based on the Top 53 countries that Marapets players come from. We will add more countries in the future.

There are 3 new Pet Colours - the Cartoon Zola, Midnight Rusty and Splatter Zola.

This new Floral Costume is now restocking in the Costume Shop. The Lorius, Rusty, Sindi, Willa, Zetlian, Zoosh and Zola are the first pets to be able to wear it.





The Costume Shop will now restock the Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Brown, Black, Grey, White, Orange, Pink and Purple Costumes more often. The rarity of these items has been lowered.

The new Scorpio Treasure Chest has been added to the Account Upgrades Shop. You can open this item to receive 5 random new scorpio themed items, including new clothes, shoes, wig, gourmet food, book, minipet and contact lenses. There are 14 new items avaliable from this Treasure Chest. This item will automatically retire June 16th.

The old, run down Slater Park had become an embarassment with cheap attractions and a permanent stalker. With the Maradan summer on the way, King Baspinar has paid for the park to be rebuilt. The new Slater Park map is once again the entertainment capital of the world! To celebrate the opening of the new park, the Circus mission has stopped asking for Circus tickets, all shops in Slater Park are allowing you to restock one FREE item every 2 minutes and the Murfin Madnes Roller Coaster, Ferris Wheel and Fasoro Falls are all FREE to play until further notice. We hope you like the changes! There will be a lot of exciting things happening in Slater Park this summer, stay tuned...



The Easter Egg Hunt has finished and prizes have been retired.

The Guess the Weight game in Gigantic Paradise has been updated. There are now 8 competitions per day instead of just one. A new competition starts every 3 hours, starting at 00:00MST. There can only be one winner per competition and the winner will receive a random Potato and 50,000MP. You also now have one FREE guess per hour. This means that until a player wins the competition, you will all have up to 3 chances per competition. There are 34 new Potato items now added to the prize list.

The Gumball Machine in Candyland has been revamped. There are 17 new gourmet Gumballs that have been added to the machine and we have also revamped 40 of the older gumball items.

The Glowing Egg Nest feature in Gigantic Paradise has been updated. The artwork and layout has been improved and the description has been changed. The 'Missing Glowing Eggs' section now has pages, price check and a counter telling you how many eggs you are missing from your collection. Your nest is now in alphabetical order, the eggs you have hatched are marked and there is a progress bar and total showing how many eggs you have collected.

PET UPDATE
The Rusty pet has been revamped. We hope you like the changes!



The Rusty can now wear the baby, burnt, rainbow and stone costumes.

Everyone that has already completed the Easter Egg Hunt should have noticed that this year's hunt had a special surprise - our brand new Candyland map! It has now been released officially for every player. We hope you like the changes! Remember, you have until May 11th to enter and complete the Easter Egg Hunt if you haven't done so already. All Easter account upgrade items will also automatically retire May 4th.

NEW FEATURE
The new Microwave feature has been released in Ziranek. It is both a quest and a cooking feature. The microwave allows you to cook any two items that you have. Combine the two ingredients, cook them for the exact time needed, you may have the recipe for a brand new, Gourmet Microwave Food. Everytime you complete a microwave quest for Cooking Utensils, you will earn cooking time. Each recipe will have a required cooking time of between 1 and 60 seconds. When you find the correct recipe, your two ingredients will become a new gourmet food. Otherwise, your microwave cooking time will go down and you will have to try again. Once the recipe has been found, it can be shared with other players.

There are 15 Gourmet Microwave Food items avaliable - can you find the recipe?

TRADES UPDATE
The Trades in Gigantic Paradise have been improved. The layout and the artwork has been revamped. You can now cancel a trade you set up without needing to reject any offers it has first. You can also now accept an offer on your trade without rejecting all of the other offers first. Finally, trades that are older than 90 days are automatically cancelled and returned to your inventory. Please note that because of these new features, there could be a slight delay with your offers being processed at busy times - just wait for the Alert!



The Online List page has been updated. It now shows the newest player that is online right now. If you are feeling generous, you can use this to send them some welcome items and show new players how friendly we are! =)

The Community section has also been updated. The layout, descriptions and artwork has all been improved. The links are also now easier to navigate on tablets and mobile phones. It also shows the character of a random player online - this will be great for any random giveaways or contests you may run on the forums!

The Account Upgrades page has been updated. It has all new artwork and a brand new layout. We have removed everything that was unnecessary and made it cleaner. You can also quickly find the Monthly Checklist, Account Upgrades Shop, Capsule Machine and Giftbox Shop from the Account Upgrades page.



The News page has been updated. The new layout matches the Forums and Comments section and the icons have been improved. We have also removed the annoying 'There is new News' alert for automatic news updates, such as the Quest/Battle Challenges and the Lottery winners.

The Inventory and quick stock layout has also been changed.

Profiles now have the Sumo Sally Pass and City Goals shield added.

Finally, the layout of the School, Gym and Elite Gym has been improved. You should now find it easier to navigate.

For all players that celebrate, we would like to wish you all a Happy Easter. The Easter Bunny will hop in and out of Marada today and tomorrow only - but you have until May 11th to enter and complete the Easter Egg Hunt! We hope you all enjoyed the 2014 Easter events =)

A new type of Minipet has been released. Gourmet Minipets are both a minipet and a gourmet food. Be careful when you use the item - 'Use Item' will add it as a minipet, while 'Eat Minipet' will feed it to your pet. The Gummi, Yolk and Bunns are the first gourmet minipets.



The Easter Bunny battle opponent has been renamed and is now called the Evil Bunny to avoid confusion.

The Capsule Machine has these new Easter themed items added. They will not be retiring.

EASTER EGG HUNT

The 2014 Easter Egg Hunt in Candyland has just started! There are 40 new gourmet Easter Eggs hidden around the site and you have to follow the clues to find them. When you find an Easter Egg, it will be added to your Easter Basket in Candyland. Only when you find all 40 eggs can you collect them - you will receive two of each Easter Egg this year! Also, if you miss the clue, it will now be shown at your Easter Basket. You can also win MP and these new prizes...




There is one IMPORTANT RULE - you cannot list answers or give out answers on the Forums, Blogs or Club Boards, ONLY via Maramail or MaraTalk. Anyone caught giving answers anywhere publicly on the site, or linking to websites with the answers listed on the Forums or Club Boards will be banned from taking part, will have their prizes taken away from them and will be fined up to 100,000MP.

The Newths have been working hard all week to patch the Computer Virus causing massive disruption in Ziranek. Once a city of the future, Ziranek become dated and unprotected against the hackers of today. To remove every trace of the virus, the whole city was reformatted with the latest operating system and all hardware was upgraded. Thanks to all of your help, the Snowman has sent out enough computer parts to clear the virus from the rest of Marada. The Ziranek map has been revamped, the Snowman is back to normal, the event is now over and all corrupt items are retired. The evil Huthiq from Enpiah that caused all of this mess is a criminal and needs to be caught! Look out for him...
