the shop size doesn't just decide how many items your shop and gallery can hold, it is also like another "level" your account is that

for example, lets say you had all 950 stamps in your album, a full collection. you would be at #1 on high scores. but what if 50 players also completed it? who is #1 ?

the player with the highest shop size :like:

same with shop search, if everyone has their item on sale for the same price, the player with the highest shop search will appear first
