👻 Introducing... Boo Buddies! 🐝
One of the things I've been thinking about recently is how we can make joining Boo Crew feel even more welcoming.
When you've been in the club for a while, it's easy to forget what it feels like to be the "New Bee." For a lot of people it might be daunting to be dropped into a group of friends.
So this Anniversary, we're trying something new...
💙 What's a Boo Buddy?
A Boo Buddy is a veteran Boo Crew member who volunteers to help welcome one (or a few!) of our New Bees during September.
The idea is: every New Bee should have at least one friendly face they recognise when they join the club.
As a Boo Buddy, you'll send your New Bee(s) a quick welcome MM, introduce yourself, answer questions if they have any, and encourage them to join in on things like Teasday, Fashion Shows, and other club events. You don't need to know everything about Marapets; you just need to be yourself!
🌼 What isn't expected?
Don't worry, being a Boo Buddy shouldn't feel like another job!
You are not expected to:
❌ Give gifts or items.
❌ Be online every day.
❌ Know the answer to every question.
❌ Be responsible if a New Bee becomes inactive.
If you don't know the answer to something, just point them toward a member of staff. Easy peasy!
Most importantly... real life always comes first. 💙
📝 How do I become a Boo Buddy?
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, we'd absolutely love to have you!
Simply reply to this MM 📩 letting me know you'd like to volunteer. Applications will remain open until August 30, 2026 23:59:59 MST, after which I'll pair our Boo Buddies with our incoming New Bees.
If you're the type of person who naturally says hello in Club Chat, enjoys answering questions, or simply wants to help someone feel welcome, you'd probably make an amazing Boo Buddy. 🐝
I'm really excited to see this become part of our New Bee Experience, and I can't wait for our very first class of Boo Buddies to help welcome the next generation of Boos! 👻
