Night of Nostalgia

[PET] Last night, a random thought came over me to visit Marapets. The website that filled each strict hour I was allowed on the internet back when I was a little girl. It???s been more than a decade since I logged in as ???ckarlevin??? with my Avril Lavigne outfit, and so imagine my real surprise and delight to discover that Marapets stood the test of time, and the influx of much better technology, and is actually still a working and alive website! I was honestly preparing myself to see the website down or with a sad banner saying ???Thank you for the many years of being with us. Marapets is now retired.??? I feel really gutted that I???ve forgotten my password and, worst, I actually deleted the email my account was connected to so I can???t even attempt a password recovery. A clown really. Now that I???m starting from scratch, I???m filled with ???ahah!??? moments as I rediscover this world I used to know like the back my crush???s back in elementary school. I remember being so efficient with playing and navigating the system but I???m quite stunned with how lost I am in the present. Now that I???m older, I can???t stop thinking about how I can improver the user experience in Marapets! But the beauty of how Marapets stuck to its ancient old mechanics is I???m forcing myself to think and play like a child. To get sucked into my curiosity and just click and welcome wherever it may take me. I constantly have to fight my limiting thoughts on games ???This might be too complicated for me.??? ???Too expensive to buy.??? ???I bet that???s a legendary item I can only dream to get.??? I never had such thoughts when I was just a little girl. All I had was ???That???s so pretty, I want it.??? ???This game looks cool! (Or boring so I move on.??? ???Wow a mission! Let???s do it.??? I???m glad Marapets is still up and running so this blog is really to thank you Marapets developers for continuing to run this website after all these years. It may have been abandoned for all I know but the mere fact I can relive the experience and still play until today is nothing short of a miracle. What a night of a nostalgia this was???
