Yuletide Drop Cookie Recipe

We were talking about cookies in MaraTalk and I briefly mentioned that Yuletide Drops are my fav kind of cookie. This is the recipe that my mom has. Feel free to use this recipe.

Ingredients:
1/2 c. Margarine
1 c. Sugar
2 Eggs
3/4 c. Dairy Sour Cream
1 1/4 c. Flour
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Ground Cloves
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 c. Quick Cooking Oats
1 c. Chopped Pecans
1 c. Snipped Dates
1/2 c. Raisins
1/2 c. Maraschino Cherries - chopped
@ 60 Halved Maraschimo Cherries for tops of cookies before baking.

Recipe Directions:
1. In a large bowl, cream together margarine, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Stir in dairy sour
cream.

2. In a medium mixing bowl, sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and ground cloves

3. Stir the dry ingredients from the medium mixing bowl into the creamed mixture until well mixed. Now, mix in Quick Cooking Oats, pecans, dates, raisins and a 1/2 cup of chopped Maraschino Cherries.

4. Drop cookie batter by rounded teasooons, 2 inches apart onto a good non-stick baking sheet, a lighted greased cookie sheet, air- bske cookie pan or baking stone. Top each cookie with one halved maraschino cherry.

5. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool before storing. Makes @ 4 - 5 dozen cookies.
