Pet Trading Etiquette

8th Mar 2016 20:38 Just a friendly reminder and some helpful tips for anyone currently (or planning on) trading their pets!
1. Be respectful. ALWAYS. This is the golden rule - treat people the way you want to be treated. If someone goes out of their way to post on your thread, mail or maratalk you the proper thing to do is get back to them. "nty" is not encouraged either; this person went out of their way to type you a full sentence so the least you should do is say "no thank(s) [you]" in reply to them.
2. Make respectable offers. Is your inappropriately named purple addow
really worth that Rofling you're about to offer on? Take the time to do your research before offering on trades - there are PLENTY of guides out there and more users that I can count on my fingers who are willing to help you make an educated offer if you don't know the value of something. It's OK to take chances but if you know your offer is going to be rejected then why get someones hopes up (and waste both of your time) by offering?
3. Patience is key. If you aren't happy with any offers you're getting on your pet then why settle? You deserve that pet you're trying to get! Plenty of times I've seen users (including myself) who have wanted to give up and settle for something else.
This is not recommended. Push through - you
WILL prevail, friend! Look over your offer: is there anything you can do to make it better? Sometimes adding a pet, or changing the name/costume of a pet can do wonders!
4. Remember, it's just a game! This is the most important rule of all. I cannot emphasize on this one enough. Pet trading is just a cheaper way to get those dream pets you've been wanting and it's important to remember that it's just for fun and games! If you ever at any point feel discouraged or want to give up, then maybe consider a break for a day or two. There's plenty of other things to do on the game like Quest, Restock, Chat, or Play Games! Everyone on here is just trying to achieve their goals and if we all help each other out then sooner or later we'll get there together!
If you have any suggestions or changes you'd like to see on this blog then please don't hesitate to post! Thank you, and good luck to anyone out their looking to trade pets!
