I'm not particularly into my poetry but having stumbled across this poem in my Postcolonial Literature paper I was really entranced by it.

[center]"A green desire, perfumed memories
a leafy longing lure my wanderer feet
to this forest of a thousand wonders.
A green desire for this petalled umbrella
of simple stars and compound suns.
Suddenly, so soberly suddenly,
the sky is tree-high
and the horizon dips into an inky grove."[/center]
