"A lot of confusion has arisen as a result of a staff member stating that they feel 'I Reserve the Right Not to Sell' disclaimers on live auction forums are counterproductive.
I would like to clarify that this is only an opinion, and that it is not a reportable offense. However, some ideas regarding live auctions on the Price Check forums are currently being discussed between staff members, so some changes may be implemented in the near future.
As a start, we would like to encourage people to try starting their live auction at their reserve price to help ensure the sale of their item. Unless someone is willing to sell a Viotto Potion for 1 MP, it makes little sense to start their live auction at that price.
Furthermore, we know that the actual Auctions feature tends to malfunction from time to time, but as far as we know, it is currently working properly, so you might want to consider using that instead of a live auction board. After all, that is what the feature is there for.
That being said, we would also like to suggest that you try to create live auction boards only when you're willing to accept alternative payment in the form of other currency, ex.) BP and RP, or items. This should help to promote the use of the Auctions feature and help decrease the number of live auction boards in which sellers will only accept payment in marapoints."
Just to reiterate: This doesn't mean live auctions are not allowed, just that it is recommended you start them at your reserve i.e. the lowest you are willing to sell for, rather than the 1mp auctions that keep going on.
