The true Story of St. Patrick has almost been lost through out the centries. It has ALMOST nothing to do with Shamrocks, Snakes or even Leprechaun's. They are just symbols of the true meaning of St. Patricks day...
Patrick's Father and Mother were both christians, His father was also the Preacher in a local church, but Patrick himself was just about as Atheist as they come. Patrick was born and lived in Britian until he was about 16, At about that time he was kidnapped by pirates and sold in to slavery on a ship bound for Ireland. While he was a slave he had two consistant companions those six years, hunger and ---I'm not going to say it, because of the younger ones here, You can look it up yourself if you want---. During those six years he used to recal his father's words "God is able to deliver you." Patrick made the lifelong commitment to follow Jesus Christ forever, and let Him be the master of his life. Patrick's life started to change, the men who had bought him called him the 'holy youth'. Eventually Patrick escaped, he returned to England, his home, for about twenty years, then felt God calling him to Ireland. When he returned he told the war chieftans about Jesus, the Messiah. For thirty years he traveled over Ireland spreading God's word, His light. He was forever in danger, he could be the chieftans next victim, but he belived in God and trusted that His promise in Phillipians 1:21, (For to me, to live is Christ, to die is gain). Patrick knew that he would one day go to heaven to be with his Father and Master and Lord. Patrick Told thousands about Jesus and the Message, how to repent and be saved from their sins and have a relationship with God. Patrick led over 120,000 people to Christ and also established 300 Churches!

Are YOU willing to live for God, to be like Patrick? Or to live for this world, and after you die, to live forever in the Fires of Hell?

For answeres as to where you will go when you die, Maramail me. Or to know how to know Jesus as Master and Savior, Maramail me. In fact maramail me for any additional info on this or any other of my blogs.
