So I no longer seem to be on the roll of getting millions of MP at once. I seem to be running out of ideas of profitable ideas for wanted ads to exchange items for, and I keep getting stuck at higher levels in games for several days now. At best, I pass 1 level a day with three tries, so I suppose everything is harder at this point. Judging from the rarity and market expense of the reward items I get, I get farther than most, but I still have a long way to go from getting to higher levels, or being one of those people who get the high score awards on this site. Not bad for someone who was here for about almost a month, I guess.

I still have 3.5 million in my Marapets bank account, but my other 3.5 million not in the bank has dropped to 2.5 million. Actually, I was almost around 1.99 million, while getting the most bare amounts of MP from games to make it a bit into 2 million. It's just that the reward system for various collecting and gym/elite gym/school/university type stuff is back now. So somehow I got 500,000 about all at once due to this. About time, I guess. Haven't gotten any rewards on that since the start of the game. I envy those who were there back when the reward system was still available rather than in maintenance when they were a beginner.

I had to take longer breaks from games just because my brain was too tired to handle much of it anymore. I also find I can't make my Marapets collect more new gourmet food and items to play with from games much anymore. So I had to buy items from the shops for the first time to take care of my pets. I find it interesting that I still play games on this site even if I could just spend more of the MP. I guess the games are just addicting that way, at least to me. Slowly and slowly though, I get better at the games.

I heard on this site that people have different major strategies on how to get MP. Some people emphasize the shops, some people emphasize the quests, and people like me seem to emphasize on the games. I find that a bit interesting, but maybe that's just me. I like the idea that some games give around 15,000 or around 6,000-7,000 MP if you play it well enough, but to no surprise, you can often only play those types of games once a day.

I also lost quite a bit of MP trying to collect random items. I collected lots of glowing eggs, plushies, stamps, books, instruments, CDs, and clothes for once, and my wardrobe is finally growing. Though I doubt I feel ready enough to have enough wardrobe items and experiences as backgrounds to be able to join a beauty contest on this site, but maybe one day I will.

Having to wait to accomplish the Castle Goals by having my pets gain gym experience for battles, I just found I got interested in trying to accomplish other goals in the meantime. I find the hardest involve ones that have to do with having some kind of million+ worth costume, so I just move on to other ones, though they can still be very hard.

I find out of all the quests, I seem to enjoy the snowman one the most, where I just hand out different gifts to people, and it makes me happy, haha. Though since it's randomized what type of gift is given, I'm not sure if they would like the gift exactly, but oh well. I find in quests, even if I don't always get a profit each time, it's helpful to get the average for the net worth of the quests' MP given each time. That is, for example, for the average 10 tries on a quest, do you make more MP in general when you do the accounting for how much money you make in the long term? Doesn't always do, and some quests seem easier to make profits over others.

It seems this game is trying to get you to collect random items so you can always have them for quests later on, but I don't think my account is at the stage for that kind of dedication. I know even with 2.5 million MP, that's going to make my cash wallet drop down by a lot if I do so this early on. So err. . . maybe next time.

I gained more experience with the games and done more research on tips, but I feel like I need a bit more experience than 24 days to give a worthy update of all the extra game experience I have, since I don't want to spam the forum with many updates at once. I just want to compile everything in one post or as few as possible.

Useful Search Terms for Marapet Game Tips
3 years & 4 months ago
26th Jul 2021 21:32

I could have created my own set of tips, but since I'm lazy and the fact that other sources can probably do this better than me in explaining it all, I decided to give a list of suggestions for search terms to research on, if you'd like.

1. How to beat 2048 : 2048 is a classic mobile game outside Marapets, if you did not know. The only difference is that the one here is in the design of the Marapets animals involved.

2. How to play Minesweeper : The classic game Traps is based on, if anyone needs it.

3. List of Three Letter Words (or Four Letter Words) : Useful in word based games. Won't exactly give you the highest points, but a lot of them together would make for a lot of points, I suppose. Besides, it's easier to find these words repeatedly in these games. All I can offer for harder and longer words is just to increase your vocabulary, if you're willing to do that.

4. How to play Tower Defense games / Tower Defense game tips : This is the genre of video game the Defend the Castle Game is based on, which involves setting up different towers to attack incoming enemies.

5. How to win tic tac toe : Why? Because it's similar to Phantom Four, and while it's not exactly the classic board game it is based on, it's very similar in strategy on how to win it, and is easier to understand. And no, it's not just based in luck.

6. How to solve a Sudoku puzzle : For Sudoku, of course.

7. Word search puzzle tips : Not really a substitute for practice, but since this is a common type of puzzle, some info is already out there around this type of thing.

8. Solitare Tips (Or specify a different version of Solitare.) : Of course, being a classic game, the information is out there.

9. Chess basic strategies and tactics : I won't go into detail into the advanced stuff, because really, beating a chess match in a children's website doesn't really need that, but you have to at least be an intermediate player in my opinion. Neither a beginner, and without needing to be an expert. So . . at least be average in this game. Perhaps read the instructions first if you don't know.

10. How to win Match 3 Games / Match 3 Games tips : The genre of video game Sushi Slice and Tropical Punch is based on.

11. Tetris Tips and Tricks : For Space Rocks

12. Klotski Tips : The "Sliding Blocks" genre of video game associated with the Gold Mine game on Marapets.

13. How to play Othello : The classic board game Reversi is based on. Also called, Reversi.

14. Typing techniques / Typing positions : Some techniques on how to type faster for Word Shark

I guess that's all I can think of for now. Other games, in my opinion, seem to just be out of pure practice, to my knowledge.

Theories on Marapets Stock Market
3 years, 4 months & 1 day ago
25th Jul 2021 22:00

In the stock market, it is essential to study the customer, and what the average customer's intentions are when it comes to buying stuff. Hence I will try to create theories on why certain items seem to be emphasized in the (current) stock market or not.

Armour

People are into battling, for a lot of in game points, so this is needed. But since there's not much of a need to constantly restock, it is at a lower increase. It also helps that it is the first shop people see in the shops section, and in business, the first stores coming into malls are more expensive to rent because most people are too lazy to explore the later shops.

Bakery

People need to constantly restock on food. It is not durable over time, so there is a lot of increase here. Other than being one of the first stores seen, people just like to imagine eating sweet things without actually eating them.

Balloons

Not sure why people would like this, but it is a cheap resource compared to other forms of entertainment when it comes to placing your pet's level of happiness as maxed out as possible.

Books

So far in my short time, I see that this statistic tends to vary. Sometimes people want books, and sometimes they're just not interested. Not sure what this means exactly to the Marapet player base, but oh well. Personally, I like to imagine that I have more finished books than I actually do.

CDs

So far in Marapets, I've observed people don't really enjoy collecting CDs compared to other types of collections. Not to mention the musical instruments shop tends to be low (from my experience.) I suppose other than it does not get involved in various quests, missions or goals much compared to other collectibles, I don't think people like this. Also, perhaps people don't really like imagining collecting music they can't actually hear, or maybe they prioritize other interests over music not that these people don't listen to music. I don't know anyone who doesn't. Maybe it's just not one of the major priorities in their life, so they don't want to imagine it much.

Candles

As I observed, very commonly needed for various quests, so no wonder for the high rates of buying.

Candy

As it is with the bakery, people like to imagine eating sweet things. Simple as that. I like to imagine stuff like that too.

Canned Food

Seems to vary, but I suppose it's because it's not the number one type of food people want to consume in real life to place into their imaginations.

Car Parts

People don't seem that interested in the car quests much, and I don't imagine a site targeted around the idea of cute fictional and magical animals would be also into this. Of course, personally I am into both cute stuff and mechanics, but I feel I'm a rare sample on this site. You see more artist or creative types here from studying the blogs for several pages. Not right or wrong. Just different.

Cereal

I'm guessing people just like cereal in real life, so they do it in game.

Charms

Seems to vary again. Don't know what to say here.

Cheese

Again, my theory of people enjoy taking food here they like to imagine eating is still going strong.

Chocolate

It's a drop this time, but while it's helpful for the imaginary playtime this site practices, I think the fact that the prices tend to be really high for various types of chocolate is influencing the low, but it might vary.

Cleaning Products

Needed for quests, so that's a lot.

Clothing

I would imagine with the type of creative/artist target audience of this website, a large subset of this game has players interested in fashion. So I feel like this is a stable factor here, in my opinion.

Coffee

Because. . . people like coffee in real life?

Computer parts

I suspect this has more to do with the fact that the computer parts quest offers 1 magic point for each quest completed, than people being interested in this as much as me, but I'm sure there are other tech nerds around here. Just not that really common here.

Contact Lenses

This seems to vary. I think it is because people often have more narrow tastes in eye colors, so there's no need to constantly buy so many colors all the time. But this is a common thing to visit, I imagine, if you're one of the newer players here, or if you're one of those high level fashionistas that always seem to win in various beauty contests on this site.

Cooking Interests

Not sure what to comment here.

DVDs

This seems to vary, as for some reason, there's always a very low level of DVDs being stocked at a time. I guess this is a way of the game making it so that DVDs are more difficult to find, and I guess there's not much we can do about that.

Diner

Eye Make Up

Similar reasons to eye contact lenses. People often have very similar make up preferences, so not much changes, so it varies.

Fake Costumes

Don't know what to say here.

Fast Food

This correlates with the computer quests stuff, since the engineer guy of this site seems to be into fast food.

Flowers

Beautiful, but not very useful whether in creatively expressing yourself or for useful things to do on this site, so not much, usually, I'm guessing.

Footwear

Same reason as clothes, but I suspect a lot more emphasis on the clothing store over footwear. Or maybe it's just me who thinks shoes are less important than the rest of the outfit. Don't know. . . I don't pay attention to shoes much.

Frozen Food

I don't imagine people like to imagine eating frozen food all the time, so I don't think this often gets a lot of people buying. In real life, eating a lot of this would be impossible to bite into, so it's hard to imagine a specific taste, but I guess some people are just into winter aesthetics as a type of expression. So I'm not sure. Maybe it changes.

Fruits

Since this place seems to work with imagining everything that is possible, I don't think people pay much attention to the healthy food around this site. Though I do with the fruits and vegetable stores because more of the gourmet food to collect tend to be there.

Glasses

It's a very specific store with very specific needs that not everyone would like. I don't see this getting high except for very rarely. But who am I to say? Still a newbie here after all.

Glowing Eggs

One of those collectibles people enjoy getting. Not sure why. I guess it's very visually appealing, and it helps with the fashion lovers around here with unlocking color fonts.

Gourmet Mutant Food

I think people are grossed out to imagine eating this type of food, so not very high. Maybe in certain events, it will increase, like maybe around Halloween. Like I imagine Frozen Food will increase around Christmas or winter season in general.

Hair Dye

Same reason as the contact lenses and face make up shops. People often have very similar preferences around this after all, and are less likely to experiment with this as much as people do with clothing.

Halloween Treats

Maybe it'll increase around Halloween. I bet, cause Halloween is my favorite holiday, as a horror fan, haha.

Health Tonics

???

Ice Cream

Not sure why it dropped this time. I imagine this goes to play with how people like imagining eating sweet things, but like I said, people prefer getting stuff from the stores that are "nearer the entrance."

Illegal Concoctions.

???

Jewellry

???

Lipsticks

I think out of all types of make up, people tend to enjoy variety here the most, actually.

Meat

Personally, I like this store as much as the fruits and vegetables ones, considering the extra gourmet food, but whatever.

Medicine

I guess since this is useful, it will often be regulated here and stable. But since people require less medicine compared to other pet needs like food, I imagine a lot less emphasis here.

Mining Tools

???

Minipet Food

Is it me or the Minipets don't actually need food? They seem. . . to just. . . I don't know.

Minipets

Not sure about this one.

Potato Chips

One of those junk food type imagination things again, but here it's not one of the first food shops to see, so oh well.

Potions

Yes.

Pottery

Yes.

Restaurant

Seems to vary.

School Supplies

A very big need and essential to the game play, so I imagine it gets a lot of regular visits as a need which requires restocks.

Soft Drinks

Too far down, and extra expensive.

Spells

If people can afford it.

Spices

???

Stamps

Personally I like to collect stamps here, but it doesn't seem to be one of the major things people are into here. Perhaps it feels more plain, and not as cute looking, like magical glowing eggs or cute plushies, but that's just me.

Stars

Needed for missions, and it's just an interesting magical concept for pets to play with literal stars.

Sushi

I always feel like creative artist types tend to be into sushi. Not sure why. I just get the feeling.

Tattoos

Not sure.

Toiletries

Not very interesting to people.

Tools

There's a practical need for this yes, but you don't need to restock this often.

Toys

I imagine it's more fun to collect toys here, it being a children's site, or all the older types here who just want to enjoy some childhood nostalgia. I think this is a stable factor.

Trading Cards

I think it takes a long time to develop battling abilities, so there's no need to collect everything, until you're much further into the game.

Traps

Useful, and needs restocks? Yes.

Vegetables

Slightly higher now, but it seems to vary over time. I imagine the first and last stores tend to be emphasized, since people tend to remember the first and last of things in business/economic psychology more. People don't really remember much of the middle, and while not as popular as the ones on the very top, it seems to get a lot of emphasis down here too.

Video Games

I imagine people here are gamers, so yes.

Voodoo Dolls

As a new player, I don't get this.

Wands

Expensive?

Weapons

Battles are useful, yes.

Wigs

Not a lot of strong variety here for the wigs store, and I guess that turns people off.

Update after 17 Days of Marapets : Getting to 6 million MP
3 years, 4 months & 1 day ago
25th Jul 2021 17:58

I feel uneasy with that much in game money in the game, because I've never actually earned that much cash in a game like this, and especially so fast. I'm not sure what it is about this game I am good at, or maybe I'm very lucky, so I just saved the rest in the bank, while I try to figure out what to do with around 3.5 million. I felt so overwhelmed after all. What do I do with all this MP?

How did I get here? Well, I decided that I'd use the raffle dukka coins I won to buy some food at the restaurant in this game. Not just for the Dukka Caves goals, but because I noticed there were more wanted ads for different types of the food there. On average, 250,000 MP was their payment for each of the items there, and it seems like most wanted ads I see tend to be 250,000.

Actually, I could get a higher payment for selling an item at a shop, but I usually find it takes a long time to wait for a player who would be interested in buying something expensive in a shop. At least for me. So since I'm impatient, I settle for 250k. Secondly, I just like to help people with their collections because well. . . that seems nice.

Besides, when trying to look for wanted ads I could try to scavenge items for, I notice a couple regulars who constantly make wanted ads on a regular basis, and maybe just by pure familiarity or their style, I just decided to help them. Someone whose 1000 MP higher on their offer doesn't get something because I liked the profile of someone else better. Why? I don't know. Guess I'm just bored. Wonder if some of them have gotten familiar with my username at this point, but oh well. But whatever. . . maybe with all their cash and experience, they won't acknowledge a noob level 15 player, but who knows?

When I ran out of restaurant stuff I wanted to buy for people's collections, I just decided to sell some Dukka Coins. I recognized that if you added the lower Dukka Coin amounts compared to what people would pay for them in wanted ads, 2 or more of those combined together pay more than what a single higher payment on Dukka Coins are. So perhaps through simple greed and financial mathematics for business, I just decided to offer people a lower amount of Dukka Coins to sell to them for MP. Also some regulars had higher amounts of Dukka Coin wanted ads for cheaper amounts of it payed much more MP than higher ones because they were competing with a lot of other wanted ads, a financial math flaw I took advantage of.

I didn't have much to do with that much MP with one pet, so I got two more. So now I have three. I guess I can afford even more pets, but you know, in business, time is money. That is, the less time I have to work things around other than paying the basic needs of my pets (regular gym, food, school, etc.) is going to be less money, so there's that. Also I feel kind of overwhelmed with everything we can do in the game and I feel a bit depressed that we have to start a new collection of items for each pet made. . . so perhaps I will wait until I come to terms with that.

I also won a lot of raffle prizes again for some reason. Left Marapets for 2 days, and came back to find 18 notifications, wondering what in the world happened. There were Plushie Fairy Prizes, King Baspinar Prizes, Earth Fairy Prizes, Peasant Fairy Prizes, Battle Fairy Prizes, Glowing Fairy Prizes, Daylight Fairy Prizes, Invisible Fairy Prizes, Arcade Fairy Prizes and then Queen Eleka Prizes. I am not sure how this game works, but I think I gather that a lot of it is loyalty from coming to the game so much. And I hear logging in automatically signs you into a raffle in recent news. Why did I get so many? Was it because of video game high scores? What is this?

All I know is that I prayed really hard recently, for some extra luck in my life. Like. . . I didn't mean it to be in something as small as a video game, but I guess that helps.

I used a lot of the items for my pet, and I just decided to sell a lot of the high prize items in my shop, hopefully for someone who would be willing to pay such a high amount for once. People might ask why I want to sell rare items so much, and it's because in collecting, I'm more interested in the amount of things I collect over how rare they are. Maybe if I spend more time in this game, someday I will get all of the items to collect that are easier to found, and I will have to move on to collecting rare items, but until then, I'll just do what I'm doing.

Imaginary Backstories for Marapets Characters
3 years, 4 months & 6 days ago
20th Jul 2021 22:10

I see. It's hard to pass level 15 because it's so hard to accomplish the Castle Goals because I need to win a lot of battles. This seems to be based less on skill in gaining stats, but simply the amount of time or plain experience you have as a player, so I'll just. . . well, blog until enough time has passed for this, and I can actually do a lot of damage with the Knight Knutt Quests.

Before I make all this, I have to tell you why I'm doing it. So I studied the entrees of memory competitions, basically people who are competing to memorize the largest amount of information possible. Not simply by repetition, but by various memory techniques. (You can look up the site Art of Memory or the Art of Memory wiki for a collection of examples of how this is done.)

So in a way, this is related to the Memory game, where you have to remember as many Marapet characters as possible, to match the cards. It reminds me of the competition around memorizing playing cards, and part of the technique here is that it's easier to remember if there are emotional reactions to each of the cards. As in thinking, what would the Queen of Hearts be like as a person? What is the King of Spades like? Then practicing this with as much detail as possible to imagine some things.

Maybe I'll do other characters outside the game so far for fun, but let's see what I can do.

One character is the Candy Shop owner. Hmm. . . I'll call her Amanda Sugar, because it just seems like that is what she would be called. I imagine when Amanda was young, she had no idea what to do with her life. She was average in everything with grades, yet she always remember enjoying the sweets her mother gave her growing up, before she passed away. When she grew up, she was filled with anxiety, because she didn't want to grow up. She passed the time with average desk jobs, but somehow she found that she could live out her childhood and the memories of her mother by starting a candy shop instead. So everyone will remember not just sweet candy, but the sweet memories of childhood.

The next one is the Chocolate Shop owner. Let's say. . . his birth name was Thomas Spike, but everyone calls him Spiky Tom, so there's that. He was the type of kid who couldn't stay in his seat. He'd always run around, and so his parents sent him to the therapist. They said he was failing everything. Math, science, history, geography, language, everything. His therapist asked. . . what did he love the most in life? What Spiky Tom liked was chocolate, and the kitchen. He loved it, but no school would ever think such a career would be as important as say a doctor or an engineer, but Spiky Tom went for it anyway.

Next is the Cleaning Products owner. I'll call her. . . Mary Blue, because she seems like the type. I don't know why. I just go with the first name at the top of my head. Mary Blue was the quiet behaved kid. Never really got into the spotlight. Couldn't let out a single word. She didn't need anything special in life. She just wanted some friends, and some financial security on her shoulders. She grew up being pressured by society to go big. Become a celebrity. Become a billionaire. But as quietly she was, she was a lot more confident than she looked, and opened up a cleaning business. Yes, it wasn't exciting, but things don't need to be exciting to make money as an entrepreneur. Sometimes. . . people don't need the Knick Knacks. They need something practical.

Next is the Costume Boutique owner. I'll call him. . . Greg the Clown. What was his last name? No one knows. His past? Mysterious. He was silent, yet full of mischief. He could put up all kinds of great acts of gymnastic talent, from juggling, twirling on the air to standing on his head. He only ever seemed to talk to his closest friends, as he liked to keep his friends close. He always wore all types of costumes in his circus acts, and he'd make so many, he decided to make a boutique. He was a man of action. Barely said anything, but a gift or performance from him said things words could not.

Now there's the Face Make Up owner. Her name? Jenny Pattinson, but she'd hate for anyone to call her her real name. No, she was Jennifer Divine, or Ms. Divine as some call her, the fabulous diva. She loved fashion and make up growing up, but she always felt like that made everyone think she was stupid. Stupid? She knew history from around the world, read all kinds of classic novels, and even all types of things about life. If people were smart enough not to judge her as just a pretty first, they'd come by to ask her advice about their problems in life, and she'd listen to them. It wouldn't fix everything, but things would be better the next day. When she'll give her friends a make over, sure, it won't fix everything, but they'd feel a little more happy feeling beautiful or dashing. Then maybe they'd have the confidence to figure things out. . .

Well, that's all for now. . . there's a lot of characters on this site, so I guess there's a lot of ones to do, I guess.
