A new event on offer for Cozy Caves Cubs and their pets .. all you need to do is submit your name for the Cub Bag... A name will be drawn weekly (for now) and that member will have their account and or pet(s) spotlighted in the club and on the blog. So cubbies send me your name ... lets fill that bag up so we can light up each of you Smile

Osohugs loves giving bear hugs so he will be giving lots of hugs to the weekly spotlighted members Smile

This week is our first draw ... Osohugs follows MB to the members accounts to have a look around and take notes Smile

Tinkerbel has the hula music on and is shaking that grass skirt like a pro.. Mowana puts a wreath around Osohugs neck , he sways along with Leilani,Piolani,Pulelehua,Pupule,Oumuamua,koa and spectra. What a lovely collection of minis representing the island..
Oyamu is all dolled up and peering out of the glass bottle at her pets.. orz a most enduring yuni is hopping around making sure everyone pitches in to carry the brand new shipment of Yellowtail Tuna into the gallery.. hope noone takes to eating the tasty treats Smile

Osohugs runs over to PitBullets account and finds himself playing with the butterflies then he wanders through the gallery and is quite impressed by the organisation ..everything by color ( mostly)
Fluffy3200Fluff meets Osohugs at the door ( he knows better than to be found where all the breakables are... they run off to play catch me if you can..

@PitBullet Congrats on Spotlight Your gallery and pets are amazing. Their stats are amazing. I can only work one 1 main pet for stats due to I have so many pets...lol. Also thank you for all your wonderful share you bring us. I hope you enjoy your week in the Spotlight Smile

Cozy Caves 6th Birthday Celebration

2 send out invitations to participate in the birthday celebrations Done
3 set up party activity to be played on the board with active members Done
4 put together a birthday brunch in trades

Participants will post HAppy Birthday in the Cave

Pin the tail on the Crickey

Members will grab a numbered tail and where their tail lands will be recorded on the club board and blog.. Who will reattach Crickeys tail... all players will recieve treats for playing..

Birthday Brunch

All members who wish to participate in the Birthday Brunch only need to post Happy Birthday on the Club board.. their RsVp will be recorded and they will recieve their tasty treats on July 28

banana walnut cookies

Cream

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
then add 1 egg.. beat till fluffy

add 1 tsp baking soda to 1 cup mashed banana..let sit a minute or so.. then add to the butter mixture

mix together 2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp cinammon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp ground cloves, pinch of salt and add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.. blend together and lastly add 1 cup chopped walnuts..

drop by spoonfuls onto parchment lined pan.. bake 11-13 min or till nice and brown.. 350 degree oven.. allow to cool 10 min..

( used a tsp cinammon.. didnt have the cloves or nutmeg and only about half cup o nuts..came out pretty tasty Smile

)

Best Gingerbread Cookies Ever!

Found this great recipe for gingerbread cookies.. Enjoy!

350* oven 10-12 min

3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
1 large egg
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup molasses unsulphured
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp cinammon
2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda

cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy then add egg and molasses and mix well

combine flour, baking soda. salt. cinammon and ginger then add to wet ingredients. mix well..

form or scoop balls to slightly smaller than golf ball... roll in granulated sugar ( opt) . place on baking sheet ( i use parchment paper on the sheet) 2-3 inches apart.. bake then allow to cool on the baking sheet about 10 min before transferring to plate

Note this recipe didnt need refrigerating.. i made some balls and some of them i flattened a bit to see if the cookie was any different.. both ways were great.. i didnt bother with rolling in sugar either..
