Being a freshman is crazy. It's such a huge change- but once you get used to it, it becomes routine. I feel like a whole different person from the kid behind the monitor over the summer. In the very least, I'm a lot happier.
I'm currently in this elective called AFJROTC & I'm mostly loving it. x)
My classes are as follows:
PE I AFJROTC I Algb 2 Advanced Language Arts Spanish I Leadership Advanced Biology Advanced Geography
Homework load= extreme
I've already done roughly 30 hours of community service though, soon to be around 60 if I participate in the events I'm planning to go to.
I'm working hard, and following AFJROTC's third core value; Excellence in all we do.
Summer's have been boring for me. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. So I deal with it.
Right now I'm taking my boredom out on marapets. I might start reading, I might look up 80's and 90's music [rock and roll revolution, baby 8D;], I might take online classes for my geeky self[nojoke, they have online classes on youtube. o-0;], I might just headdesk myself into unconsciousness for the remaining two months, also..
Whatever I do, I hope it keeps me sane. Because sanity for me right now? 30% capacity.
Because it takes me away from every little thing in my life. It makes me feel like I'm another person. It makes life more fun. It takes me back in time. The lyrics teach me something. I can dance to it. It eases boredom. It helps me concentrate. And it's everywhere.
My 'fake' name on here is Max. I know it's a boy-ish name but I like it. I'm a 14 year old who is going into high school as a Freshman. Fresh meat, to some. ;D Newbs, to others. Just more people, to the rest. Right?
Butyeah, I'm a teenager. Just the average teenager, I s'pose. I love my iPod, I love the minority of friends I've got, I love reading, and I love Origami. My life isn't exactly the most exciting, but I'll get over it.
I'm really obsessed with this show called "DogFights" on History International. (yeah, I watch that station. Don't judge me.) It's where these veterans talk about their experiences in the World War II and the whole thing is digitally re-made purely from memory and facts. It's really awesome. I'm actually learning the names of some old planes. xD; Like the F-15 and P-61 Black Widow (nightfighter)
I have all kinds of goals set for my future; I'm thinking about being an Aerospace Engineer, or perhaps a Nurse. A Journalist, even? Just anything that involves flying sounds fun. I want a job that can let me think about stuff and bring new ideas into it; a job that's a little flexible with the imagination. I can deal with deadlines, I know I can. I also want to care for people who really need me. It's like a mix between the two jobs. Then, the third job lets me do both. I get to help people become more knowledgeable, and I get to be flexible with the way I write things. Yet, there's no airplanes or flying involved...
A career is what I aim for. If I work my butt off, I know I can reach these goals. Nothing is impossible..
But I know I'm a dreamer. I have all kinds of stuff I hope will come true. xD;
Uhhmm..

Books I like: NightWorld no. 1,2, & 3, Speak, Penn Dragon Series, Richard Scarry's Best Story Book Ever( my dad gave it to me when I was little xD; ), The Queen's Own Fool, Uncle Tom's Cabin..
