This is comparing Buffy the Vampire Slayer [the TV show] to Twilight, which Stephenie Meyers ripped off.
1. Twilight starts out with Bella moving to a new, MUCH smaller town Buffy the Vampire Slayer starts out with Buffy moving to a new school, in a much smaller town.
2. Bella is a five letter female name, starting with 'B', the third letter [consonant] repeating Buffy is a five letter female name, starting with 'B', the third letter [consonant] repeating
3. In Twilight, Bella falls in love with a vampire. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Buffy falls in love with a vampire.
4. In Twilight, Bella has a much softer-spoken friend [Angela], who is in the shadow of Bella. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Buffy has a much softer-spoken, nerdy friend [Willow], who is often in Buffy's shadow.
5. In Twilight, when Bella kisses Edward, he loses himself in desire for her blood. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, when Buffy kisses Angel, he loses control and reverts to his main vampire ways.
6. In Twilight, Edward's ex-girlfriend, Rosalie, is mostly a bi/tch, and causes trouble from the beginning. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel's ex-girlfriend, Darla, shows up to wreak havoc from the get-go.
7. In Twilight, Mike falls in 'love' with Bella, although her friend is in love with Mike. He is human, and goofy, a perfect show of a normal human being. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Xander falls in love with Buffy, even though her friend Willow is deeply in love with Xander. Xander is a comical, goofy human, and the only 'normal' person in the show.
8. In Twilight, Edward pops up periodically, as if a stalker, to warn or save Bella. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel pops up to warn Buffy of bad things, appearing to stalk her sometimes.
9. In Twilight, Bella gets pregnant with Edward's baby. Because the baby is a vampire child, she has to be turned into a vampire to have the child. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Darla becomes pregnant with Angel's baby. Because of vampiric complications, she has to be killed to birth the baby, and brought back to life as a vampire.
10. In Twilight, Bella is the one person in the world who is impervious to the vampire's powers. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Buffy is the one person in the world assigned to kill vampires.
11. In Twilight, there are werewolves, and only one female werewolf. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, there are werewolves, only one of which is a girl.
12. In Twilight, both Edward and Jacob love Bella. They both compete to have her. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, both Angel and Spike compete for Buffy's love.
13. In Twilight, the first book ends with Bella and Edward and their friends at the prom. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the first season ends with Buffy and Angel and all of her friends at the prom.
14. In Twilight, Edward occasionally pops up in Bella's room in the middle of the night. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel sometimes pops in Buffy's room in the middle of the night.
15. In Twilight, Edward tells Bella that he can't be around her, that he puts her in danger, and then leaves - but later returns to her. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel tells Buffy that he is bad for her, and distracts her - but he later returns despite this.
16. In Twilight, Edward attempts to kill himself by standing in the sun, which will bring out the Volturi and in essence get him killed. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel plans on killing himself by standing in the sunshine.

This is beautiful. I personally care for either, but "The Twilight Saga" is definitely worse. And I find it sick it could have copied this show so much.

Although, in number 14, Edward doesn't occasionally pop into Bella's room, he does it on a nightly basis. So that he's more a stalker than a lover. XD

It's so hard to think of new ideas these days, but to take that many ideas from "Buffy" is a little uncreative.

katkat - in my opinion, Buffy is so much better than Twilight. It has some teenage angst yeah, but it also has decent arcs. It's got some of the best one-liners ever, and they still make me crack up after watching the episode dozens of times. x] It's definitely worth giving it at least a chance
