Crohns Disease is a Severe, digestive disorder that can attack anywhere in the digestive tract from the tip of the tongue, to the lowest part of the intestines. It causes symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, sudden weight loss, diareah & dehydration. It is genetic, but exactly which generations it attacks has not been pinpointed yet. It is with you from birth, but takes a bacterial infection such as the flu to activate the disease. It can be maintained with proper diet, lowering of stress, and medication, along with proper care from a Physician. A Crohns' patient can only have 3 surgeries in a lifetime as there is only so much of the digestive tract that can be removed. But with proper self, and medical care, a Crohns patient can lead a normal life.

Im glad that you put this in your blog. Crohns is a little known disease & more people need to be aware of it as it can attack quickly. Symptoms often get confused with other diseases. I was diagnosed with many before they finally found Crohns. Hope you are doing well.
