A small town called Lionous is known for their massive wheat and corn fields. But on scarecrow, which the townsfolk call Amdis, stands in the center of one very famous cornfield, "The Death Field". This field is on the outskirts of town, and most people stray away from it. The scarecrow is quite disturbing and morbid; his body is made of straw, and his shirt is ripped with blood splatters. His arms drape down all the way to his "knees" and give Amdis a "other earthly" feel. His pants are filled with holes, and maggots crawl in and out of his empty eye sockets. Basically, Amdis is something everyone knows about, but only a few brave people actually get the courage to stand in front of him and awe at his ugly appeal. But on one particular day of the year, Halloween, people swear they see Amdis get up and move. Each Hallow's Eve (day before halloween) 10 people die a gruesome death. But this year,

Your writing style is well presented but you miss out on your five senses a lot, only including the seeing one. Try and use similies and metaphors to describe the cornfield, the more unusual the better.
Very nice though -I recommend you write more.
