Beautiful, and so true. As an animal lover and someone who has taken in more than a few strays, I can't understand how anyone can just leave an animal.

that poem makes my cry, just thinking of how cruel some people can be. your poem has touched my heart!! i love animals and it hurts knowing that there are others who deliberately go about hurting them, you should get this poem published!!
