Band Bootcamp (again0

11th Jun 2009 09:30 Well it is the start of a new summer and that means the start of a new marching band season. So far this week i have gotten up a 6:15 a.m. to get to school by 7 and then marched over a mile in 2 hours. and on top of that we have to learn a new routine with about 40% of the band are rookies this year and know knothing. and guess what two days ago i got a blister on my foot and so it is sore when i march.
today is our first parade and i think that we might be ready. we are the third band of thirteen bands and we are all competing against each other. so wish us luck at our first parade.
Freezing Below Zero

15th Jan 2009 18:18 hey everybody who is reading this i live in the great state of Minnesota where right now we are going though a cold spell. i dont just mean cold i mean colder than cold it is at least 30 below zero right now. it is so cold that most of the schools in my area were called 2 hours late the night before or they were closed becasue it was too cold, those whimps. i survived going to school in this cold, although it was 2 hours late at least we dont have to make it up in July like we have to for two other snow days. just to make it clear snow days are so not cool you have to make all those days up in JULY when it is so hot and our school dosnt have any air coditioning except for in the computer room. so that is how it is living in Minnesota during the winter. Just one thing i just hope this global warming kicks in soon.

12th Jul 2008 16:57 ok on tuesday i just got back from a week long trip to NYC going through Chicago and Boston and Nigra Falls. This was a marching band trip that was so fun but very long. we had to march in two parades that were really long. one was 5 miles long and it took us 2 hours to march and we played our music 21 times. Boy were our lips sore. I play trumpet and so it got a little hard at the end. The last day it took us 24 hours to get home so we slept on the bus and that was rough. never ever try it. i had a lot of fun and if u ever go to NYC be sure to check out Radio City Music Hall and Times square. Chinatown and Little Italy are also excellent places to go if u r looking for designer knock offs or really good italaln food. there is more i would like to say but ill stop here.
