Hey guys! I started a little quest blog and eventually a site to show exactly what kind of profits you can expect from the various quests, but I kind of sort of went on a few mini hiatus' so the data is no longer relevant.


I'm redoing it tho!

And starting with the Simerian Explorer. So it's going to be half 'here are the profits you could get' and half 'how long till i get my mp back from buying this map' profits done, how long till I get my MP back calculated, moving on! Though for any interested, when I have spare MP, I'm going to try and update explorer more just to see the long term spent vs earned. That will be below all other quests and titled "Simerian Explorer Cont." and it will pretty much be the Spent, Earned, Items, and Quests Done lines updated, as well as some relevant Side Notes. That way there's still the base 100 results for all to see.

Next is my personal favourite that I love to hate, Elger!

SIMERIAN EXPLORER
WHERE TO FIND: Simeria
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: The Explorer asks for items similar to what the Leprechaun, Elger, and the Farmer ask for (various things, but nothing too outrageous like costumes or potions).
You need to complete the Simerian Explorer Treasure Map to do these quests.
Spent: 782,489 MP
Earned: 343,011 MP
Items: 5 Runes worth 1,353,331 MP and 1 Explorer Trading Card worth >1kMP
Quests Done: 100
Side Notes:
*The Simerian Explorer Treasure Map is required in order to do these quests and it currently costs 30-35M
*I got runes roughly/on average once every 25 quests, but you can get a good run where you get a rune almost every other, or a bad run where you don't get anything for 100+ quests
*Best rune run was after 8 quests, worst was after almost 30 quests.
*Don't buy this map if you aren't prepared to quest a lot. From everything I've heard and everything I will probably experience, you're looking at 3k quests till you earn back the mp you put in (and that's at it's current 30-35M rate)
*I didn't skip anything, and I bought everything needed, regardless of whether I had it somewhere or not
*The Runes are used in the Temple of Transubstantiation which upon completion changes your pets costume to one of your choice.
*Based on the amount earned + the amount to be earned from runes, it's about 1800 quests till the map is paid off. Taking the amount spent into account, it should take 2600 quests till it's paid off fully. (at the 30M spent to buy the map + a potential 14M spent to do the quests)
*All of this math is dependent upon me having done the math properly at 1AM haha sorry)
Avatars: Finish 35 Explorer quests
Final Notes Currently worth it, based on the runes to sell. You can make roughly twice as much as you put into it. If you want to make sure you make a profit, you could quest till you get a rune. With runes selling around 300k, and most people getting runes every 30 quests, it should work out.
Long story short yes do this quest/buy the map, but make sure you actually do it if you want to see any profit

HAUNTED HOUSE (ELGER)
WHERE TO FIND: Undying Woods
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: Elger will ask you to bring 1-3 items, and in exchange will reward you with MP and Crystals
Spent: 169,909 MP
Earned: 343,524 MP total ( 55,200 MP, 40 Crystals with a selling value of 288,324 MP,
and 0 Haunted House Stamps that sell at ___ MP each)
*For anyone without the DCGB, just cut the crystal profits in half. For all you lazy ones though:
144,162 MP from 20 crystals
Items: 40 Crystals
Quests Done: 20
Side Notes: *I have both seen and heard Elger asking for Crystals during a quest
*She has also asked for a Diamond
*I do have the Double Crystal Gift Box
*Elger can give out at most 25k
*Elger will ask for pretty much anything, and I'm pretty sure there is both a cap on the price of what she'll ask for, and certain items she'll never ask for (as in she won't ask for Costumes or LE potions)
*You get a crystal every time, unless you get the stamp and 25k
Avatars: Do 25 quests for Elger
Final Notes Elgers quest is worth doing and completely recommended, but if you'd like to see even more profit, skip the quests where she asks for bones. And be very wary of makeup items, as a lot are over 5k and don't restock too often.
