3rd place - Dracul! I agree, she's one of the few characters that genuinely creeps me out Zombie

This weeks theme is: best Halloween villain and it's twofold: you need to both create a doll of it and write a small argument as to why it's the best Halloween villain!

My example is Frankenstein's Monster, the unnamed villain (or arguably victim) of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

I chose Frankenstein's monster because he is the villain born of our own poor choices, deficiencies, and pride. In the novel, Dr. Frankenstein is warned against trying to find the secret to life again and again but he very much has a god complex about it and does so anyway, however he immediately regrets his creation and spurns him. The monster is hurt by his creator's rejection and then society's rejection of him, which causes him to grow violent and seek to hurt others as he has been hurt. The Monster is actually quite intelligent and philosophical and simply seeks a companion like him so that he is not all alone in this world. Dr. Frankenstein initially agrees but reneges on the deal, causing the Monster to go on a murderous rampage. Dr. Frankenstein dies shortly thereafter of illness brought on by his stress, guilt, and grief. His monster mourns him, for even though he was a cruel creator who rejected him, he's still his reason for existence and his only tie to the world he so desperately wants to be a part of. With his creator dead, he wanders north to commit suicide by freezing to death.

There are so many themes in this novel that are applicable to our lives and the world. Consent (at one point the monster asks the doctor if he had asked to be created), rejection by a parental figure, rejection by society, taking responsibility for your actions, going beyond the "bounds" of mortality, seeking to become like a god, and much more that I could write about for pages and pages. If you haven't read the book, this month is a fantastic time to do so, and Mary Shelley deserves more recognition as a fantastic author who literally invented the sci-fi genre!

Daayans (sometimes called witches, although both the terms are not synonymous) are beautiful and erotic female women who have long black braids. It is believed that all their powers lie in their long, thick braid and if you cut it they will become powerless.

These women practice black magic and are deadly to the people they target. They can make others do their bidding without much effort.

There are folklores that attest to their existence but it's still unclear whether they still exist. Bollywood movies and Indian daily soaps have many a times potrayed daayans.

They make the most unpredictable villains. They can co-exist with the normal people without giving away their secret. Beautiful and enchanting to every onlooker, but when offended they can destroy families to satisfy their anger.

I Chose Pennywise (aka IT) i watched this movie when i was 7 i'm now nearly 29 and this movie has stuck with me my whole life, i remember coating the plug hole in play doh so the evil clown wouldn't get me, i feel he is one villain that is over looked but shouldn't be counted out, his cunning and blood lust is something that should never be underestimated

Because werewolves are scary but very cool at the same time. The werewolf has no choice. It's just her bad luck that she was bitten. She hates what she becomes at every full moon, but at the same time, she loves the running and the freedom. She becomes a killer, taking her revenge on the world that has been so cruel to her.

I chose to go as chucky from child's play. I find the character interesting, going through alternative means, in this case inputting his soul into a child's toy in order to escape from punishiment from his crimes.

Michael Myers! Because what is Halloween without him! Halloween is such an iconic movie and especially with the new one coming out! His movies are so chilling because they are so simple yet CREEPY. I jump every time even though I know when he is about to pop out. Such an iconic halloween villain. Like come on, his movies are called HALLOWEEN.

I tried to make the eyes a little hollowed so it resemble the infamous mask. His simple getup wasn't so simple to create actually. Did some layering and threw a creepy wig on!

I decided to enter as Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th movies! I believe he is one of the most memorable characters of all time. I guarantee you that his classic 'chi chi chi haa haa haa' sound will cause the hairs on the back of your neck to stand, no matter how many time you watch the films! When you hear him coming, you know it's about to go down lol Zombie

Samara has to be one of the creepiest Halloween villains ever. Not only was the ring franchise one of the scariest, "Samara" made it the nerve chilling films in modern times.
