  • MaxineSlater 0 MaxineSlaterHey, I'm Slater! Okay, I don't have great Christmas memories so I'll tell you about the best Christmas gift I've ever gotten! It was four years ago, and considering I had asked for hundreds of pounds worth of games I figured that I wouldn't get anything that I hadn't asked for, yet my dad got me a kitten. I was a bit confused, I hadn't asked for a pet, I'd never had one before and I hadn't dropped any hints that I wanted one. So basically, I wasn't sure how I was going to look after a cat that I didn't really want. And then that night, the cat whom I had not named yet, wandered into my room, looking around as he was still getting used to the house. He jumped onto my bed so I figured I'd give him some attention. I started to clap him and he was hugging into my leg, it was freaking adorable. I decided that I wanted to go to sleep and I didn't want to sleep with the cat so I put him out of the room. I woke up in the middle of the night and sure enough, he had snuck back in and was sleeping beside me. From then on, I fell in love with his annoying, disobediant personality. And I called him Prince because he certaintly acted like one 😆 And I still have him and he's so big now! Sorry this is REALLY long, I just hate telling that story in a small version haha! Thanks for letting me apply! And good luck to other applicants
  • Dyuthi8 0 Dyuthi8My favorite Christmas memory would be waking up and finding my friend alive. My family doesn't celebrate Christmas. I don't get presents. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind not getting presents, It's just that makes Christmas like any other day to me. So when you ask, what's my favorite Christmas memory, this is the only one I remember. And this isn't meant to be a sobstory either, It's just the only story I have. My friend ____ was in a car accident about two weeks before and she hadn't woken up from it. That morning, my parents allowed me to visit her. The doctor's had said they doubted she would make it and she would be paralyzed otherwise. I went to visit her, and sat with her for about 2 hours. Finally, when I was about to get up and leave, she twitched. That isn't a lot, but it meant she was recovering. And it meant there was hope for her.... ^My Most Memorable Moment Of Christmas Day

  • Bitty 41 BittyMy favorite Christmas memory was the Christmas of 2007 ❤️ I was in 7th grade and the year wasn't going so good. I had moved down south 2 years before, 4 hours away from my grandparents who I had lived with pretty much my entire life, and i hadnt seen them in the longest time. My stepdad was terrible and he enjoyed making the holidays awful. Christmas Eve, he told us there were no presents and to top it all off, there hadn't been snow at all. I was convinced it would be the worst Christmas ever. The next morning, at around 6:30am, there were horns beeping outside. Me and my siblings ran to the windows and saw my grandparents had arrived and were waving from their vans! And even better? A lovely blanket of snow covered the ground and snowflakes were falling everywhere. They came inside, my grandma carrying 2 dozens dunkin donuts and she even had my favorite flavor, maple! We ate donuts and then opened presents, which were only from them. I got new clothes and this awesome purse that i adored. And my uncle had sent us money that he shaped into bows which was neat too! Christmas dinner was also wonderful. There was so much to eat but being me, i only ate turkey and cresent rolls! Im kinda picky That year, for the first time in 2 years, i went to bed with a smile on my face. My stepdad had failed to sour the day and i got to spend the day with the people i loved more than anything. And we got snow! That was my best Christmas memory ❤️
  • Cupcake36421 0 Cupcake36421My favorite Christmas memories are from the past two years. You see, my family never really celebrated Christmas. We would always have the tree up just as a decoration, but we never did any of the gifts under the tree stuff, or had a nice Christmas dinner, or had family bonding time. Christmas would always be a normal day for us. But two years ago, when I started dating my boyfriend, I was finally able to have a Christmas experience. His family loves me and would invite me over to their house to have Christmas parties and even gave me gifts! I got to help them put up their HUGE tree and decorate it. Also, my boyfriend took me to go Christmas light seeing while we drank hot cocoa! That was one of my favorite parts. We also went ice skating, and this year we plan on going sledding together! I was finally able to have a good Christmas experience instead of staying home and doing nothing like I used to do before two years ago.
  • cheesy1377 0 cheesy1377My favorite Christmas memory was a ??ew years back. It was the year my sister had her first bought with cancer and told us she did not feel like going to Carols by Candlelight. This is a family tradition and everyone goes. So our uncle got his pickup truck and we put a twin mattress in the back of it, put a bunch of pillows and blankets, made special arrangements to take the pickup onto the fairgrounds to where our family always sat and took her there. She got pretty tired half way through and fell asleep but at least we were all there and she really enjoyed it. In fact, that was the last time all of our family was together for Candles by Candlelight. It was really nice, and a memory I'll always cherish.
  • waffleflinger 15 waffleflingerMy favorite Christmas memory is every Christmas as it is a tradition that I take my family and we go give blankets to the homeless people. They really appreciate having something to keep them warm.....
  • Brad 36 BradMy favorite Christmas memory would probably be when I was about 7 or 8 and my mom got me all this harry potter stuff, like the chess set from the first movie, and I had open most of my presents before anyone was awake. I was so excited I ran up the stairs then I remembered no one was awake yet so I just sat on the couch smiling like a dork until everyone else came down.
  • FireFlameCat 0 FireFlameCatMy most memorable Christmas memory is actually a funny one. I was 7 and I loved Christmas and all the lights, and getting to see all my awesome cousins, and of course getting presents. But one thing made me even more excited. My parents told me about a legend that on Christmas Eve night all animals can talk. And of course I actually believed in this and got so exited because I could finally talk to my pets. And guess what my pets were? My fish. So on Christmas Eve after dinner and after opening presents (in my culture we celebrate mostly on Christmas Eve) I rushed downstairs to the fish tank. I sat in front of it really determined. It was about 11 o clock and there was only one more hour. Well time passed by I was falling asleep. But it was finally midnight. So I waited to hear my fish talk. Well as can you tell, I was pretty disappointed afterwards. I cried to my parents that the legend is not true. And I was really tired which made me more upset. But the next day I had a alot of fun with my new presents and I forgot about the whole incident. This is the most memorable Christmas because its the funniest one, and of course my parents still tease me to this day about this. Good luck to everyone !
  • ilovesleep 50 ilovesleepYay for celebrating Christmas early My favourite Christmas memory is my favourite christmas gift. Does that make sense? I hope so.... haha Anyway let me explain My eldest brother (who is 8 years older than me) is very socially awkward. He doesn't like to touch people or let alone hug them. So for as long as I could remember I had never had a hug with my brother. Then on one Christmas morning there was huge present in my room, and inside that present was another present, and inside that present was another present. (it was like I was playing pass the parcel by myself) This went on and on for ages until I got to a tiny little box. Inside the box was a note saying "Good for one free hug" Afterwards he walked in and hugged me for the first time since I can remember. It was the best possible Christmas gift, even now 5 years later, I still love it! So thats my favourite gift/ memory! ~ Sam
  • Sneggz 0 SneggzI have never celebrated Christmas as my parents never payed attention to me, ever. There was no Christmas gift, and I have never even set up a xmas tree before because my family is really neglectant.
  • Azelie101 66 Azelie101My favourite christmas gift was last year. I went to see Phantom of the Opera for my 21st Birthday, its something I always wanted to go to London to watch. I bought 2 posters whilst I was there and kept saying I would get them framed but never got round to it. My partner took the posters without me knowing and got them professionally framed as part of my christmas present. I thought it was such a sweet gesture as I hadn't asked him to do it and he managed to do it all without me even realising they had disappeared Very early Merry Christmas to everyone, Hope everyone has a good one
  • Libby 12 LibbyWoo Christmas came early~ Well my best christmas memory was my friend tbh. It sounds so silly but honestly, she's the most perfect person ever. She used to struggle with an eating disorder and she had to go to hospital for it and she was in there for a while. I went to see her so often but she wasn't really happy to talk to anyone which really hurt. But i guess i'll miss out most of that story because it's a little too personal, but basically, she got to come back a little under a week before Christmas and she was much healthier and LOOKED happier That was probably my favourite christmas memory BECAUSE my best friend was like a christmas present ❤️
  • sweetieful 0 sweetiefulMy fav Christmas memory would be from last year. It was my first Christmas being married to my husband. We wanted to do something special for it, So we went for a early morning walk around the lake near were we live. It was totally frozen over and utterly white... .the trees were covered in frost and it was so lovely. We walked around the lake and went to the biggest hill in the area and sled down it, without the sled We was covered in snow after and was freezing when we got back home. But was laughing so hard we woke our roommates up whilst making hot chocolate. It was only like 8am. We then started to prepare Christmas dinner and had a flour fight in the process. Then when it came to it being ready... we saw I hadn't put the turkey in at the wrong temperature and it was still nearly raw. So we had sandwiches for lunch and he sorted the turkey out... it wasn't ready till 10pm. I've been banned from making us dinner since We spent the day snuggled up on our tiny sofa feeding each other small sweets and stuff whilst talking with our roommates (who are also a couple & our close friends) I may have totally ruined diner, but it was one of the best days ever
  • Bopig 75 BopigFavourite Christmas memory would have to be the year my Mother and I didn't have much to give each other. I didn't ask for anything as I knew Mom being a single parent she couldn't mange it and the bills and to pay for heat but come Christmas morning I had two things setting under the tree from her. A new Winter coat, that I was in great need of... and to my great glee and surprise a hand painted (not by her tho) Emu egg with a wolf on it. As per Christmas tradition I gave her a Scrub top for work (she's a PCW/CCA). Can't remember but I am sure that was a year she was working and she had to head to work so I spent the day alone and cooked our super, but it's a Christmas that I doubt I will ever forget and it taught me so much. ~bp
  • LordLovin 29 LordLovinMy favorite christmas memory is when my parents finally let me get a puppy. I remember going to the breeder and picking her out and I named her Bella, hence my username 😛 She sleeps with me every night still, even though she farts all the time haha. She's a cutie
  • Sundae 31 SundaeHere! My best christmas gift was being able to share Christmas dinner with my family, back when I was a kid. At that time, we struggled with money. My mother was a housewife and my father just lost his job. Even food was hard to come by, and we were buried in debt. Sometimes, we only ate canned food. Mom and dad began fighting then. In our place, everyone celebrated by staying up the whole Christmas eve, either having a party, or just a little get together with the family. I thought we'd just sleep through that year. But surprise, surprise, my grandparents, aunt and uncle came, they brought along so much food and drinks, that in a matter of minutes, we were having a family reunion, everyone was happy and laughing. By twelve o clock, everyone was peacefully quiet, and that's when the fireworks began to rise up in the sky, in different patterns and bright colors. It was the best christmas for me, not because of all the food (but I was definitely happy about that too), but because we were together, and in spite of everything, we were there, enjoying the moment and forgetting our worries. Mom and dad didn't even fight a single time that day.
  • duncan12345 0 duncan12345My favorite memory from Christmas was every year we would go to my great-grandparents house on Christmas eve and spend it with all my cousins. We would all sit in the living room and hang out and talk and share stories and spend good quality time together without electronics or anything. I was so great and now that my great grandmother is deceased, we no longer do that so it is just a fabulous memory that I keep with me. I am so grateful to have those memories! -Madison
  • Killer 30 KillerI am going to tell a Christmas story from last year even though if my friend, Kay, would kill me if she knew 😆 Last year my friend Kay made me a Christmas ornament. It was a plain dark red glass ornament that she had painted with fine gold lines to make it festive and had wrote in gold "2012" and "Hermana" on the sides and a dark purple flower was glued to the top of it where you hook it to the tree. It was really pretty :3 She brought it to class and gave it to me before Christmas break. I loved it, it was beautiful. I was holding it in my hand and thanking her for it and she went to hug me. When she opened her arms to hug me, her arm smacked into my hand and knocked the ornament out and it went flying 😆 Shattered into a million pieces on the floor, it did ._. She was upset and embarrassed and all I could do was hug her and tell her it was okay. I was laughing the whole time though because I just couldn't help it, it amused me 😆 Eventually she joined in too and it was all good :3 She made me a new one though even though I told her it was alright 😆 That is probably my favorite Christmas memory as of yet.
  • CandiiCat 54 CandiiCatMy favorite Christmas memory? That's a hard one, because every year Christmas has been spectacular, filled with smiles and presents and hot cocoa and snuggling under blankets! But if I had to choose my most favorite Christmas, it'd be the year my cousins came over. They live in a different state then us and they have never seen snow before, so they decided to come to our house for the Holidays. It was fantastic, all of us having lots of fun. There were lots of presents going around and we all had some hot chocolate to keep us warm! They left on New Years Day, but I have a picture of us all smiling at the camera. It may not seem like much, but having everyone there was truly the greatest present I could ask for.
